Yes, a passport valid for six months beyond the duration of your stay (through December 7, 2025) is required for travel.

All travelers are required to complete the Honduras Customs (PECH) Form a suggested minimum of three days prior to departure for Roatan. Select “en_US” from dropdown at the top of the form to complete it in English. A QR code is generated with the form, which should be available for the customs agent to scan.

You will be required to complete the form again prior to departure.

Yes, Ideal will arrange transportation for you to and from the airport. Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport is approximately 30 minutes from the Kimpton Grand Roatan Resort and Spa.

Summer in Roatan is typically hot and humid, with average daily temperatures of 90 degrees. Though you might experience some light rainfall, you’ll primarily enjoy plenty of sunshine and cool ocean breezes.

For all meals, meetings, transportation and adventures provided by Ideal Producers Group, gratuity is covered. Additional tipping for exceptional service or for meals and excursions booked on your own are at your discretion.

The official currency of Roatan is the Honduran Lempira. However, the U.S. dollar is readily accepted by most businesses. Having some reserve cash is encouraged, as some businesses will attach fees of up to 22% on credit card usage. If you are planning on using the dollar, it is best to carry small denominations.

Note that they will NOT accept any American bills that have even the slightest rip.

The hotel is located in West Bay Beach, a world-renowned beach destination that is also within walking, driving or water taxi distance of West End, arguably the most visited town on Roatan. West End and neighboring Half Moon Bay are home to a large expat community, as well as coffee shops, dive shops, restaurants, souvenir shops and a variety of other amenities.

In addition to sun protection, you may choose to bring goggles or snorkel equipment if you are inclined.
