Ryan Campbell is known for his adventurous spirit and was named one of Australia’s 50 great explorers. As a teenager, he made headlines for fundraising and training for a solo flight around the world. He published his first book, Born to Fly, after his worldwide excursion. However, his life was changed when he got in a plane crash a few years later. He survived against all odds but is now paraplegic with no movement from his waist down. Ryan is an expert on adversity and resilience and empowers others with his inspirational story.
David Atkins served as a New York State police captain for 22 years during which time he wore many hats, from patrolman to leading undercover units involved in organized crime. Moreover, David was a first responder at Ground Zero on 9/11. While working full-time with the NY State Police, he also built a million-dollar direct sales business. His life experiences inspired him to publish his first book, The Leveled Up Life.

Polly Blomquist is an estate planning attorney committed to providing comprehensive estate planning for individuals and families. Polly started her career at the Family Court in Jackson County, Mo. After gaining experience and becoming a parent, she realized the importance of estate planning and was inspired to open her own firm. Today, Polly and her team at Complete Estate & Probate Law work to help families achieve their objectives regarding their assets. She also is a board member of Arcare, Inc. and educates other professionals through continuing education classes.
Lyall Donnelly has more than 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur in the financial industry. He made a shift in his career 20 years ago to fulfill his mission to help consumers master their finances and develop plans to protect themselves, their families and their legacies. He takes pride in providing personal finance education to his clients and prospects, aiming to help them implement safe retirement strategies with income that cannot be outlived, minimize taxation and protect their lifestyle.
Tina Donnelly is a lifelong entrepreneur who is passionate about helping people find their talents. She has been instrumental in expanding opportunities for women in the financial industry and has helped lead The Donnelly Team to continued success. Her experience, combined with her unique ability to break down difficult topics, sets her apart as a speaker and trainer. Tina’s passion is helping women develop a healthy and confident relationship with their financial decisions.
Carrie Freeburg is SVP of product and marketing at SILAC, where she is responsible for innovative product development, inforce management and edgy marketing that sets SILAC apart. Previously, Carrie worked as a consultant in annuity and life insurance product development. During that time, she developed more than 60 products with 10 different insurance carriers. She is also a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and is an associate of the Society of Actuaries.
Steve Goldstein has more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry, including 22 years in Wall Street trading stock and index options in various cities across the world. Steve has also worked as a senior partner at Liberty Capital Group and as SVP of sales and marketing for a large U.S. marketing organization. He co-founded Thomas Gold Solutions with his partner, Brooke Thomas, a company that creates software solutions to help agents increase production and become more successful.
Jim Hutson is a retired band director who assembled an agency of financial professionals known as The Jim Hutson Agency, LLC. He prides himself on providing customized programs designed to grow and protect his clients’ wealth. By combining life insurance, annuities and alternative investment strategies, he strives to help consumers “live the lives they’ve imagined.” Jim and his wife hold Masters degrees from West Texas A&M University and are proud Texas natives.
Joshua Levine, CFA, is a director of insurance sales at Bank of America. He is responsible for delivering innovative solutions for insurance companies with a focus on investable indices. Josh started his career at J.P. Morgan, covering clients across the Investment Bank and Private Bank. From there, he joined the Structured Investments Team, where he managed the manufacturing and distribution of cross-asset structured investments and investment indices. He is a CFA charterholder and member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and the CFA Institute.
Rudy Mehl has been the head of sales and distribution at Farmers Life since September 2023. He has spent more than 25 years in the insurance industry in various sales capacities for both insurance carriers and independent marketing organizations. Rudy immigrated to the United States from South Africa in 1996. He currently lives in Salt Lake City with his wife and two puppies.
Rod Moore is a businessman from Norman, Okla., with 35 years of experience in finance and accounting. He received his Bachelor of Finance and Accounting from Oklahoma State. With a passion for helping consumers avoid unnecessary risks with their retirement assets, he started Moore Tax & Financial Services. He has also conducted client education seminars for more than 20 years. Rod and his team are committed to helping clients achieve the future lifestyle of their dreams.
Kim O’Brien has spent 35 years serving the independent insurance channel, during which time she has been responsible for developing life insurance and annuity products that serve insurance professionals and leading trade associations. Kim played a critical role in preserving the insurance status of fixed indexed annuities and was at the forefront of developing best interest standards for independent agents. She has an MBA and Paralegal Certificate to assist in administrating FACC and its advocacy outreach on regulatory and policy initiatives.
Erica Pounder is a passionate and results-oriented digital marketing consultant with more than 15 years of experience. Her mission is to help clients achieve their online marketing goals and grow their businesses through customized and innovative strategies. Using her expertise in marketing communications, social media, email marketing and lead generation, Erica has been a successful fractional CMO for many years, providing actionable steps for small businesses to create successful marketing programs.
Tiya Stanley has nearly two decades of experience in the financial services industry working as an independent insurance agent, trainer, recruiter and national accounts leader. Tiya’s extensive industry knowledge and experience have resulted in significant sales growth for the organizations she’s served. A high-energy advocate for the industry, Tiya serves on the NAFA Board of Directors and the association’s Education Committee.
